I saw the commercials and claims of being a revolutionary FPS. It's Battlefield: Bad Company 2.5 :)

Sure, the gameplay experience is great, but with no option to save game replays (c'mon Activision, the Halo series has had this for YEARS!) you really have nothing for posterity aside from your stats.
So, if you are the competitive type (and if you enjoy the COD multiplayer modes, how couldn't you be?) you know that you need some bragging rights to throw at your buddies.
The only people that I know of, that actually play COD:MW2, and don't care about their k/d rati...

But I do love to kill some campers.
They usually lack skill and basic reflexes, so once you sniff them out, it's pretty amusing to make them your target of choice for the rest of the match.
People who cry about campers in every match are almost as bad as the campers themselves.
If you can't kill a camper, what's that make you?

I'm not taking shots at Static-X, just commenting on whining gamers in general.
There are still good ti...

But how many of you cancelled your cable internet service after the annual price hike?
Was there a mass exodus from Comcast cable to Verizon DSL? No, there wasn't.
People take the path of least resistance because they:
A) Believe the service warrants the price increase
B) Have no other option
C) Are too lazy to do anything about it
D) Don't think it's enough of a price increase to care.

This article wasn't "Damage Control".
It simply made a few good points about the trends of consumers and Xbox Live users.

Thanks for the heads up though. I hear you're an ultra reliable source for what to expect in future gaming news. You're like the Nostradamus of the forum trolls.

I've often thought about a game with this perspective while playing the other war-based shooters (COD, MOH etc.)

It always cracks me up when the NPCs are just scrambling around like helpless cattle, and you and your "squad" are handling business.

What if NPC #3 just picked up your fallen comrade's SCAR-H and started dishing out some pain!? It'd be awesome!

I can't wait to be "NPC #1" :)

Fact- Not all snipers ruin online multiplayer, but there are enough of the campy variety that it has become very annoying.

When a Domination match in COD:MW2 comes to an end, and your team loses, and the entire match, you heard shots ringing out from the far Southwest corner of Wasteland, you have a sneaking suspicion that XxxSiLeNTsT3AlTHK1llerxxX wasn't looking out for the team's best interests.

Thanks, dude. We're all super-happy that you ende...

The game looks and feels great. The guns work well, and the vehicles are pretty kick ass.
The game modes are also solid, and the servers handle lag pretty well.

Unfortunately, the non-gameplay mechanics of the game are show stoppers for me.

The useless "post-death" camera takes WAY too long to clear followed by the respawn timer, which means a) you still don't know where the sniper is camping from, because seeing him in some brush provided no insight...

I could buy a PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii at any Walmart, Target or Best Buy around here.
The PS3 and Wii are not sold out, so people around here are certainly not outstripping supply.
That sounds like something SONY would say, though. We'll see.

Dude, it's in plain text, in the video. And, it doesn't take a military genius to know that the plane is an AC-130...

For the love of God... He knows the term "chaff", and just keeps on blurting out "c-130".... I want him dead.

Yes, I have anger issues, but it's still extremely annoying.

I'm more excited for Modern Warfare 2...
My handle is Master Chief, backward, for Christ's sake, so don't say I'm hating. I just happened to pick up COD4 again the other day and play for a bit. The game is f*ckin' amazing.

They do what's in their own best interests.
Apparently, they've found that they make enough money (and save enough on development costs) by making Xbox 360 exclusive content.
That's what happens when someone chooses a lead platform.
If SONY had released the PS3 on time (one year before it actually came out) maybe they would've been the lead platform, and gotten a shot at the exclusive content.

Not to mention, SONY is hurting financially, much more than Microsoft...

The 360 controller is more ergonomic, and suits me better for long-haul sessions of FPS, driving, action games. The trigger and shoulder buttons are more naturally placed as well.

The PS3 controller has a superior D-pad, no doubt. It also has better vibration IMO. I also like the feedback on the four face buttons over the xbox 360s XYAB buttons.

Overall, I prefer the 360 controller due to its comfort

Viacom is a lot more than a partner of Microsoft.
They have a lot of "irons in the fire" when it comes to mainstream media.
Chances are, if the fan-made "Why I own a pS3" commercial contained game, tv commercial, or internet ad content owned or produced by Viacom or one of its subsidiaries, the content was most likely flagged for infringement.
Some conspiracy theories are interesting to me, but click-generating bullsh*t stories like this one are not.
